ECO AWARD ENTRY – XPR SNOW GOGGLES by APHEX
APHEX put sustainability at the forefront of its design and manufacturing process from the beginning.
Designed to be infinitely repaired, the XPR uses the APHEX three-part goggle system. Every pack contains a strap, a frame and two lenses; a low-light Cat 1 lens plus a choice of coloured lens. The items are interchangeable and individual elements are available for purchase to replace damaged or worn parts. It is this functionality that makes APHEX goggles a long-lasting piece of ski kit.
APHEX award-winning design – it received Fresh New Brand at SLIDE 2023 – was created by skiers who are passionate about protecting the natural environment. They are committed to continuous improvement across their supply chain and material choices.
They work with manufacturers to use recycled and biobased raw materials wherever possible. All APHEX goggles boast the following statistics:
- 65% of flexible plastic is biobased
- 100% of hard plastic is recycled
- 100% of the strap is from recycled plastic bottles
Established in 2010, APHEX focused on organic growth. As part of their commitment to waste reduction they have focused on pre-sales and limited production runs to achieve as close to 100% annual sales as possible. Aphex has expanded across Europe year on year and is now available in the UK for the first time.
APHEX XPR Performance Credentials
XPR snow goggles are designed to be almost frameless. Built with thin lines and a spherical shape they provide a large field of view without optical distortion.
